Terchova is one of the local mountain villages located between the national park of Little Fatra mountains and the CHKO Kysuce. There is plenty of well preserved buildings with shingled roof and beautifully carved shield which tells a lot about the local folclore. The village offers a lot of accommodation possibilities with a short down-hill course near-by and for monument fans a museum of Janosik, roman-catholic church from 1945 built by a plan of M. M. Harminec.
